If you were hooked by the legendary Sixties and Seventies collaborations of people like Herb Ellis, Joe Pass and Attila Zoller, Helmut Nieberle and Helmut Kagerer are the guitar duo to make you happy.
Nieberle/Kagerer concerts are marked by supple, fluent runs and imaginatively varied motifs. The two guitarists have their own immediately recognizable hallmark tone. It's a very personal tone, warm and singing. Their perfect coordination results in vibrant swing, excellent taste and a high degree of musical empathy.
The two virtuoso guitarists, who received the Bavarian Jazz Award in 1991, have been playing together for about ten years now. Their new CD is appropriatley entitled Skyliner.
